Não me admira essa música estar na minha cabeça desde ontem, desde antes de eu saber realmente o que se passava... minha tia amada... minha terceira mãe... minha irmã numa dessas vidas passadas, quem sabe... mãe vivia confundindo nossos nomes, por incrível que pareça, e enquanto eu dava risadas, ouvia sempre ela dizer, em cada uma das vezes: "você e Elza só podem ter alguma ligação de uma outra vida!", e eu ria, ria... Pois hoje pedi ao meu pai que imprimisse pra mim a letra de "Miss Celie's Blues", uma das minhas músicas favoritas no mundo... e ele imprimiu também a tradução. A composição, ao que tudo indica, é de Quincy Jones. E sabe quando você canta mas não presta bem atenção ao significado da letra? Pois hoje meus olhos bateram direto na tradução. E quanta coisa de nós duas eu vi ali... até a estrada escura e solitária daquele meu sonho está ali. Eu não sei, mas já vivi tempo demais, "and I've seen a lot of suns goin' down" pra acreditar, a esta altura da minha vida, em "acasos" e em "coelhinhos da Páscoa". Por isso eu digo a você...
